Thought we were done with algebra..NOPE ! Here is a mini basic algebra tutorial
Note: This tutorial can help you solve algebraic alligation math problems which would be the next tutorial after this one
What is algebra? Mathematics used to solve for the unknown such as X, Y, etc.
Tip 1: If you subtract one side of the equation you will also subtract the other remaining side of the equation, the same goes for addition, multiplication, and division. The reason why is because we want to isolate the X which we would equally solve both sides of the equations to get to our final answer.
[EX] X + 4 = 12 [EX] X - 4 = 12
X + 4 - 4 = 12 - 4 [subtract 4 both sides to isolate X] X - 4 + 4 = 12 + 4 [add 4 both sides to isolate X]
(4 - 4 ) ( 12 - 4 = 8 ) [4 - 4 was cancel out] ( 4 + 4 ) ( 12 + 4 = 16 ) [4 + 4 was cancel out]
X = 8 X = 16
[ 8 + 4 = 12 ] [ 16 - 4 = 12 ]
Tip 2: Solve the ( equation ) first
[EX] 5 ( 5 + 2 )
5 + 2 = 7
5 X 7 = 35 Easy Huh!
