This topic is interesting to me because obesity is at a high percentage that can lead to a stroke, heart attack, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cancer, even death. This is serious, some people do not understand how important it is to be healthy. Im sure we all have love ones who are going through this, but we have to get the message across that there are ways to get healthy and motivate them. I was once obese after conceiving my children, I felt depress and just felt ugly with no energy but I then realized that this situation was serious and my health was going downhill. I took the courage to lose overall 80 pounds. It was hard but i really wanted to be fit & healthy and live for a long time & just enjoy mother nature. I feel better and have lots of energy, just feel HEALTHY!!! There are so many ways to get fit, here is a quick review of my diet plan i took upon myself to get fit but always ask your primary doctor for advice towards your plan.....
  • As a beginner I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes, 6x a week

  • Ate plenty of vegetables & fruits, plenty of water, lean meats, switched to whole grain, low-fat food products <you can always visit FOOD NETWORK for healthy recipes> DO NOT starve yourself, that is the worst thing you can do to your body. Watch proportion size, eat 5 small meals a day with fiber & protein

  • After being on the treadmill for a few months, it was time for weights to lose fat & build lean muscle. You can research workouts on youtube(online), workout video cd, tv, etc...This particular one stuck to me its called "BODIES IN MOTION" with Gilad also "TOTAL BODY SCULPT" with Gilad, he is the best!

  • After i reached my goal weight, I now exercise 3x a week, eat healthy (once awhile eat my comfort food) and just keep busy which its easy for me since I am a mom
